Job summary

Flex is seeking a Program Manager based in Austin, TX (Flex Headquarters), reporting to the Director of Program Management. The role focuses on organizing schedules, budgets, and cross‑functional activities to meet aggressive product development timelines and customer commitments.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7+ years in program management, a engineering background, and proficiency with MS Project and MS Office. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in program administration/management.
• Experience leading Kaizen events, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is ideal/optional.
• Proficiency with MS Project required.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience presenting to VP-level leaders.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and direct program schedules and budgets.
• Track relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.
• Assist with contract negotiations as required.
• Oversee interdepartmental activities ensuring adherence to product development timelines and business metrics.
• Review project plans to resolve timeframe, funding, staffing, and resources.
• Develop work plans and staffing for each phase and arrange recruitment.
• Coordinate product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction across accounts.
• Serve as the main communication channel for customers and escalate issues.
• Conduct customer satisfaction reviews and corrective actions.
• Maintain and develop business with customers; monitor project deliverables.
