The Program Manager will be based in Austin, TX, and reports to the Manager of Program Management. You will organize schedules, budgets, track metrics and ensure customer satisfaction with minimal travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7+ years of program management experience in regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing industries (medical devices, automotive, pharma/defense) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan and direct program schedules and budgets.
  • Track metrics and drive action items based on results.
  • Support contract negotiations as required.
  • Oversee interdepartmental activities to meet product development timelines and quality metrics.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase and recruit personnel.
  • Coordinate product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction; manage accounts of varying complexity.
  • Serve as key communication channel for customers and act as escalation for issues.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction reviews and corrective actions.

Summary

The Program Manager will be based in Austin, TX, reporting to the Manager of Program Management.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, plan and direct program schedules and budgets.
  • In charge of tracking relevant metrics and driving action items based on results.
  • Provide help, knowledge and expertise with contract negotiations as required.
  • Oversee all interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of all adherences made relative to product development timelines, delivery, quality and the required business metrics.
  • Reviews program proposal or plan to resolve time frame, funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing program, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of program.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of program and arranges for recruitment or assignment of personnel.
  • Manage the coordination of product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction also has control for different accounts of various complexities.
  • Be the key channel of communication for customers and act as escalation in the event of customer issues.
  • In charge of customer satisfaction reviews and corrective actions.
  • Maintain current and develop additional business with customers.
  • Monitor and track that project and program deliverables are met.
  • Be accountable for maintaining excellent customer relations with both new and existing customers.
  • Holds up production sites for projects, costs and other customer related matters through business and expertise.
  • Travel requirement: minimal to no travel.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field – OR - equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in program administration/management or related areas.
  • Above work experience from regulated manufacturing companies/industries ideal (e.g. medical devices, food & beverage, automotive, pharmaceutical or defense/aerospace).
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel (e.g. pivots, v-lookups, fórmulas, graphs, charts, etc.), PowerPoint, Smart Sheet, GANT charts /projects.
  • MS Project experience ideal.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
  • Accountability for the program wellness.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical areas or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas.
  • Understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
