Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks a seasoned Program Manager to provide high-level program management and executive operational support to the Office of the Chair, coordinating faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure actions and related processes.

The role works with the Program Director as a liaison among the Chair, faculty, and School of Medicine offices; duties include drafting official letters, scheduling, travel, purchasing, and handling confidential records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PMP preferred.
• 4 years of program oversight including planning, budget, and coordination.
• Experience with academic administration and executive support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage faculty appointment, promotion, tenure and related materials.
• Coordinate Chair travel, scheduling, and routine correspondence.
• Draft and prepare letters of appointment, promotion, and other official communications.
• Prepare meeting materials and track deadlines and action items.
• Maintain confidential records and triage sensitive matters.
