The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Medicine is recruiting for a Manager, Program (Supervisory & Non-Supervisory).

Manage one or more programs (project #) of substantive size and budget.
Set goals and create tactics to achieve program objectives.
Plan and coordinate daily activities of a program including monitoring relationships of outside agencies or subcontractors.
Manage budget, including approving finances, tracking expenditures, identify variances and resolve, and preparing reports on current finances.
Coordinate and assist in training programs for employees, volunteers, and/or the community.
Plan data management and communications strategy for program. Work with senior management in developing program goals and milestones.
Manage the use of databases used to analyze criteria and deliver data, as well as to monitor, evaluate, and recommend senior management revision to program operating policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job must supervise 2 or more staff, and the following function is required:
Create a cohesive work team that works collaboratively to achieve program(s) goals. Oversee the recruitment, performance, and training of team members and continually review strengths and weaknesses of staff to maintain a well-trained, highly involved, and motivated team.
Experience: Four (4) years of program oversight including program planning, budget, and coordination
Supervisory Experience: Non-Supervisory Designation = N/A
Supervisory Designation = Two (2) years of direct management experience required.
Certification/Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.
