Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a greenfield smart manufacturing initiative in Sanford, NC. You will coordinate seven interconnected workstreams, align leadership, and drive the program from development through startup.

The role requires broad collaboration across business units, suppliers, and HR, with a focus on governance, scheduling, and risk management. Expect onsite leadership with significant travel and a strong emphasis on change management and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• PMI PMP/PfMP, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or comparable certification preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale, complex programs across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated program management strategy for development, construction, readiness, and startup.
• Manage seven program workstreams: Building and Facility; Manufacturing Process Design; Procurement and Supplier Diversity; IT/OT Systems; People Transformation; Commissioning & Startup Readiness; New Source Introduction.
• Lead the program governance structure, including leadership rhythms, decision rights, and executive forums.
• Build and manage the integrated master schedule with critical-path focus and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Monitor program budget performance, forecast resource requirements, and support informed investment decisions.
• Develop and coach program and project management professionals and foster cross-functional collaboration.
