Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Senior Facilities Project Engineer in Sanford, NC, to drive integration and delivery of facility systems for a new advanced manufacturing site, safely moving from design through production readiness.

You will coordinate electrical, mechanical, civil, building-control and manufacturing interfaces while managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. You will collaborate with the Facilities Engineering Team, manage interfaces, resolve ownership gaps, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering capital projects in large industrial or manufacturing facilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil infrastructure interfaces.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED or similar credentials, where relevant.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility planning, design, construction, commissioning, and readiness activities with scope, budget, schedules and execution strategies.
• Identify and resolve cross-functional risks, ownership gaps, and key decisions with clear business impact.
• Translate operational needs into integrated design, execution, and readiness plans for offices, warehouses, and manufacturing.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and suppliers through design, construction, commissioning and turnover.
• Engage with leadership and partners to align priorities and communicate risks and progress.
