Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the integrated delivery of a greenfield smart manufacturing facility in Sanford, North Carolina. This highly visible leadership role will oversee seven interconnected workstreams, driving alignment across executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

The role requires strategic integration, governance, and strong execution across multiple domains, with a focus on readiness, ramp-up, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or PM certification (PMP/PMI/Lean/6 Sigma/Agile).
• Experience leading large-scale, complex programs with cross-functional teams.
• Strong governance, planning, scheduling, risk and change management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated program management strategy for development, construction, readiness, and startup of the Sanford facility.
• Coordinate seven workstreams: Building/Facility, Process Design, Procurement & Supplier Diversity, IT/OT, People Transformation, Commissioning/Startup, New Source Introduction.
• Lead program governance, executive forums, decision rights, and escalation paths.
• Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule and manage cross-workstream dependencies.
• Monitor budget performance and resource forecasts; inform investment decisions.
• Grow and mentor PM professionals and promote cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide objective program health assessments and actionable recommendations.
