Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, North Carolina seeks a Program Manager to lead an enterprise technology deployment for a new manufacturing campus. You will coordinate business, manufacturing, engineering, technology, site, and external partner teams to ensure readiness and a successful startup.

You will manage plans, milestones, readiness reviews, risk registers, and reporting while ensuring alignment with business requirements, training, go‑live readiness, and post-launch support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, engineering, operations, or related field.
• Experience leading complex programs with multiple technology platforms and external vendors.
• Experience supporting technology deployment or site readiness in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating cross‑workstream solution selection, design, and go‑live.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and implementation partners.
• Familiarity with enterprise, automation, data, cybersecurity, and operations tech.
• PM certification such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of enterprise, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and site technology workstreams from planning through implementation, launch, stabilization, and transition.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, readiness reviews, risk registers, dashboards, and leadership updates across concurrent workstreams.
• Ensure plans and solutions align with business requirements, site needs, and launch objectives while coordinating people, processes, technology, and support for readiness.
• Coordinate workstreams at different stages of solution selection, design, implementation, and validation with cross‑functional teams and partners.
• Partner with business and site leaders to identify operational impacts, coordinate change activities, and support workforce readiness.
• Confirm that individual solutions work together and meet approved requirements.
• Coordinate site readiness testing, training readiness, and go‑live approvals before launch.
• Lead readiness reviews and manage go/no-go decisions; oversee stabilization and transition to support.
• Coordinate site leaders, SMEs, and external partners during go‑live to resolve issues and align resources.

Education
