Safariland, LLC is seeking a Production Planner to own and optimize the scheduling of assigned production lines. You will balance customer demand with material availability, capacity, and inventory to generate executable schedules that support on‑time delivery and efficient production flow.

Responsibilities include converting plans to orders, maintaining accurate schedules, and collaborating with Purchasing, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve shortages and ensure DIFOT.

Formación

• 3+ years of production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.
• ERP/MRP experience to analyze demand, supply, inventory, and planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups).
• Knowledge of BOMs, routings, lead times, and planning parameters.

Responsabilidades

• Owns production planning and scheduling to meet on-time delivery and efficient use of resources.
• Validate demand, supply, and planning messages; adjust orders accordingly.
• Convert planned orders to production orders and release them timely.
• Develop executable schedules by line based on due dates, capacity, and material readiness.
• Monitor daily output and WIP; identify late orders and coordinate recovery actions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales to confirm lead times for large orders.
• Coordinate expediting and priority changes with production and shipping.
• Participate in reviews of DIFOT performance and inventory safety stock levels.
• Maintain ERP planning parameters and review BOMs and routings for accuracy.
• Perform rough-cut capacity planning across the planning horizon.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
