Safariland in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Master Production Planner to lead and coordinate all planning activities related to the master production plan. The role ensures timely production, capacity planning, and MRP integrity across Manufacturing and Shipping.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years experience in production planning.
• APICS certification desired.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in planning role in a manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Master Schedules for finished goods.
• Revise schedules daily to optimize plant efficiencies and delivery performance.
• Maintain long-range master schedules for site business plans and budgets.
• Develop and update capacity plans, identify bottlenecks and actions for recovery.
• Create production plans that optimize plant capacity and drive MRP.
• Plan and develop a Master Schedule conforming to customer requirements while maintaining alignment with internal needs.
• Supply work orders documentation for Manufacturing and Shipping departments.
• Monitor material availability and track progress of production.
• Negotiate alternative manufacturing and delivery dates with Plant Management, Sales, and Marketing.
• Maintain schedule updates daily to ensure MRP system integrity.
• Coordinate engineering changes with Operational team.
• Provide inputs into budgeting and forecasting processes.
