Job summary

Beowulf E&D seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support the full lifecycle of materials, equipment, and services for data center operations and infrastructure projects in Barker, NY. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Legal to ensure competitive sourcing, proper authorization, and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Contract Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related area.
• Experience with supplier management, sourcing processes, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
• Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services that support operational and project requirements.
• Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders and related procurement documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance in areas including cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Lead or support commercial negotiations involving pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and other commercial terms within established authority levels.
• Coordinate contractual and legal matters with management and Legal, as appropriate.
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, due diligence, and the collection and maintenance of required vendor documentation.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, and other teams to understand and fulfill purchasing needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, purchase orders, and contract documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
