Job summary

Beowulf E&D in Barker, NY seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support the full lifecycle of purchasing materials, equipment, and services for data center operations and projects.

The role requires collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Project Management, with a focus on compliant procurement records and efficient supplier performance. This is a full-time, non-exempt position in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Contract Administration, or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or related area.
• Experience with supplier management, sourcing processes, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accurate documentation.
• Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for operations and projects.
• Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders and related documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Lead or support commercial negotiations on pricing, delivery terms, warranties, and other terms.
• Coordinate contractual and legal matters with management and Legal.
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, due diligence, and vendor documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Project Management to fulfill purchasing needs.
• Maintain procurement records and contract documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and supplier performance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
