Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional sourcing and/or purchasing experience.
• Strong technical acumen and industrial components supply base knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience and direct report oversight.
• Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel and Power BI with complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Effective communication with peers and service center personnel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement alignment to the vertical sourcing strategy and participate in supplier decisions.
• Collaborate with demand planning and analytics to optimize inventory and fulfillment.
• Evaluate inventory investments to support new business and align with working capital initiatives.
• Meet or exceed inventory targets and provide forecasts.
• Cooperate with Service Center Manager to align with sales projections and gross margin targets.
• Oversee new business implementations and stocking methodologies with suppliers.
• Evaluate procurement workload and delegate tasks to meet sourcing metrics.
• Manage service center performance to procurement metrics including fill rate and Purchase Price Variance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and leverage volume for price breaks.
• Assist in disposition of obsolete inventory and coordinate with vendors.
• Coordinate HR issues for direct reports and manage performance development.
• Provide training to buyers and expeditors and maintain a training matrix.
• Champion onboarding and change management for supplier portal adoption.
