Job summary

Gexpro Services is seeking a Vertical Sourcing Leader for Transportation to develop and drive the commodity strategy across global hardware, machined and fabricated components, mechanicals and electrical spend. You will collaborate with Sourcing Management, Commodity Leaders and regional buyers to improve sales revenue, profitability, risk mitigation and supplier development.

You will lead strategic supplier relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and push for improvements in cash flow

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and strong communication with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical reporting skills and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing contract costs.
• Minimum 5 years in Sourcing / Supply Chain / Procurement.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute the Commodity Strategy for Transportation with ~$30MM annual volume.
• Drive sourcing initiatives: cost reduction, supplier rationalization, on-time delivery and quality improvements.
• Build strategic supplier relationships to meet cost and localization targets.
• Improve trade working capital via inventory optimization and extended payment terms.
• Collaborate with DSG Business Units to leverage total spend and supplier relationships.
• Support New Program Implementation with supplier selection for new programs.
• Partner with Technical Sales Engineers to reduce product costs through redesign or alternate sourcing.
• Work with purchasing to resolve fulfillment, cost or quality escalations.
• Manage complex supplier contracts and strategic relationships.
• Analyze market conditions and cost drivers to avoid margin erosion.
• Build strong supplier partnerships through site visits and capabilities overview.
