Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Category Manager in Indiana to develop and implement procurement strategies across multiple categories. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize cost, quality, and schedule while driving value and efficiency throughout the sourcing process.

You will negotiate master agreements, monitor market trends, and build strong supplier relationships. A Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience are required, with CPM/CPSM preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience in a procurement, contract management, project management or related role.
• Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience developing procurement category strategies.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and target dates, and risk management plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, driven to succeed, strong critical thinker, and able to think and communicate in terms of process flow

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy to achieve financial value-add and improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through detailed analysis of the category portfolio and supplier base.
• Assess work streams and activities for consolidation opportunities and assess processes for best work practice and fit.
• Monitor the global supply market for pricing, commodity trends, supplier capacity and industry news.
• Pursue Category Management strategy to secure Rosendin's competitive advantage.
• Develop and implement metrics to monitor responsibility areas and identify gaps; plan corrective actions.
• Challenge current procurement, estimating, and cost tracking practices to improve results.
• Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex issues and execute change management strategies.
• Build networks inside and outside the organization to support procurement goals.
• Negotiate Master Agreements with key suppliers and ensure alignment with projects.
• Travel up to 10% and maintain safety considerations in all duties.
