The Weitz Company is seeking a Preconstruction Manager II to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. This role leads the project team, develops estimates, and ensures successful preconstruction delivery from schematic through construction documents.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, estimating, and business development to drive profitability. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and possible career growth across our nationwide offices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of extensive experience with estimating and/or project management construction, and design management.
• Experience working for a general contractor preferred.
• Experience partnering with operations, estimating, and business development teams.

Responsabilités

• Manage the preconstruction process efficiently with client needs and company goals in mind.
• Document and communicate progress during preconstruction, especially at schematic and design phases.
• Develop accurate estimates, scheduling, strategy, and communication throughout preconstruction.
• Review weekly progress, adjust schedule, and flag issues impacting cost or schedule.
• Understand local market logistics and how each impacts costs.
• Collaborate with operations, business development, and preconstruction teams to ensure profitable turnover.
• Leverage BIM/LEED/LEAN as appropriate to meet client needs.
• Assist Business Development in the RFP process.
