The Weitz Company seeks an Estimator II for our Gig Harbor, WA office. The role supports the estimating team with quantity surveying, pricing, bid solicitation, and cost history. Travel to job sites will be required as part of duties.

Two years of estimating responsibility or field experience are required; MEP estimating experience is preferred. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected, with onscreen takeoffs as a plus.

• Two years of estimating responsibility or significant field experience are required.

Responsabilidades

• Read plans and specs and include requirements in the estimate.
• Generate development estimates with quantities and components.
• Assist in developing project quantities from schematic plans.
• Solicit sub and vendor quotes and ensure complete trade coverage.
• Prepare bid-day spreadsheets and detailed proposal tabulations.
• Review proposals and identify gaps and overlaps in scope.
• Prepare final estimate for rollover to cost system.
• Prepare cost analyses and identify value opportunities.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Travel for business will be required.
