The Weitz Company in West Palm Beach, FL is hiring a Preconstruction Manager II to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL! The Preconstruction Manager provides outstanding customer service and sets projects up for success through successful delivery of our preconstruction services.

This role will provide value to our customers by leading the project team, predicting cost and schedule, being an advocate for owners, and transitioning preconstruction services to operations as construction begins.

Formación

• 6+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in construction.
• GC experience on commercial projects including aviation, education, senior living, public work, and/or resorts/hospitality.
• Experience partnering with operations, estimating, and business development teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the preconstruction process with focus on client needs and company goals, ensuring timely completion.
• Document and communicate progress through schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
• Develop accurate estimates, scheduling, strategies, and communication across the preconstruction phase.
• Monitor progress weekly, initiate changes to stay on schedule, and flag cost/schedule risks.
• Understand local market logistics and how subcontractors/suppliers affect costs.
• Collaborate with operations, BD, and preconstruction team to ensure profitable handover.
• Support clients’ needs and leverage BIM/LEED/LEAN where applicable.
• Assist in RFP processes, including schedules, GC scores, and interview prep.
