Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Partner to standardize preconstruction processes across its national platform from the Denver, CO area. You will lead cross‑functional teams in estimating, risk management, and contract reviews to ensure high‑quality, profitable outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in construction, a four‑year degree in a related field, and strong skills in Procore, Viewpoint, and InEight.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in architecture, engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience required.
• Twelve years of experience in construction, project management, estimating or preconstruction.
• Strong knowledge of financial management programs and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead consistent, standardized delivery of preconstruction, estimating, and risk management across all project-based units.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentorship across regions and project phases.
• Refine scopes of work, budgeting tools, and schedules with project teams.
• Coach teams on identifying and qualifying local subcontractors and managing the full bidding process.
• Support contract reviews and negotiations to ensure favorable terms and risk mitigation.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization across the organization.
