Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Partner in Seattle, WA to standardize preconstruction processes across the E&TS National Platform. You will lead bidding, risk management, and cross-unit coordination to ensure high-quality, profitable outcomes.

You’ll coach regional teams, refine tools and templates, and collaborate with design and energy engineering to apply proven product sets and contracts while driving continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in architecture, engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Twelve years' experience in construction, project management, estimating or preconstruction.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and construction management systems.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of financial management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead standardized delivery of preconstruction, estimating, and risk management across units.
• Coach regional teams on training and best practices across project phases.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Product standards for consistent use of product sets.
• Manage subcontractor engagement and bid processes from RFP to award.
• Support high-risk or key account projects and conduct post-project reviews.
