Job summary

Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI) seeks a Business Development Manager to lead sales efforts and expand the client base by targeting ideal partners and opportunities.

The role requires understanding BBSI’s solutions, presenting value to prospects, and developing partnerships through referrals, direct selling, and other channels. A track record of success and 3+ years of sales experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a top performer in ASO/payroll or insurance sales.
• Proven track record of building and managing client relationships.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Find, engage, and close new client prospects.
• Build referral partner relationships to generate qualified leads.
• Develop a 60–90 day plan to establish a referral network.
• Lead weekly business development meetings to grow the client base.
• Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed goals.
• Coordinate initial contacts, sales calls, and client meetings with teams.
• Understand client base to focus development efforts.
