Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Northeast U.S. and Canada. The role is remote, with up to 70% travel, and requires strong English; Canadian French is a plus.

You will build strategic accounts, expand existing relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet sales targets. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in technical sales, a bachelor’s degree, and a proven ability to create account plans, cold call, and close new business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in technical sales within a complex environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven ability to create key account plans and execute.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and prospects to form strategic partnerships through sustainable packaging solutions.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and transpose leads into the CRM.
• Aim for a close ratio of 50%+ on projects.
• Understand machine loads and capacity for plants within the network.
• Attend relevant trade shows as required.
• Identify new and niche opportunities where Altium is first or second to market.
• Lead the industry with new packaging solution ideas and implementation.
• Maximize contract renewals and negotiate contracts for new and existing customers.
• Support customer service and mentor when required.
• Research market trends and advise on maximizing sales efforts.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
