Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the Northeast U.S. and Canada territory. The role is remote with up to 70% travel and requires fluent English; Canadian French skills are a plus.

You will initiate, manage, and expand relationships with existing accounts and strategic new clients while collaborating with the team to meet sales targets. You will build partnerships to deliver sustainable packaging solutions, manage the CRM pipeline, and pursue high close-ratio

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical sales experience in a complex environment.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Ability to develop key account plans and execute; heavy cold calling experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and prospects to form strategic partnerships through sustainable packaging solutions.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and manage leads in the CRM.
• Aim for 50%+ close ratios on projects.
• Understand plant machine loads and capacity within the network.
• Attend relevant trade shows as required.
• Identify niche opportunities to maximize margins.
• Lead with innovative packaging ideas and implementations.
• Maximize contract renewals and negotiate contracts.
• Support customer service and mentor teammates as needed.
• Monitor market trends and suggest sales enhancements.
• Overtime may be required.
