Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking an Account Manager to deliver high-quality service to internal and external clients, supporting underwriting teams and brokers. You will manage the book of business, drive retention, profitability, and growth through strong relationship building and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry as an Underwriter Assistant or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of Property and Casualty insurance coverage.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process policy administration and renewal tasks.
• Review policy documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in service delivery and underwriting operations.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients and provide updates with exceptional service.
• Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration.
• Maintain accurate policy and underwriting data and input timely information.
• Utilize diary systems to track deadlines and information flow.
• Review underwriting documents for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
