Sun Ophthalmics is seeking a results-driven pharmaceutical sales professional to lead education-focused discussions with healthcare professionals in the ophthalmology space. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager and requires building strong relationships, delivering compliant scientific messages, and executing business plans to drive product awareness and patient care within the defined territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
• Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent are preferred.
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care; experience selling within healthcare institutions preferred.
• Eye Care/Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically as necessary, majority of time in market.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information to target HCPs.
• Business planning and execution.
• Enhance HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, data, safety, and efficacy.
• Equip HCPs with tools to facilitate conversations and educate patients about the therapeutic area.
• Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps.
• Increase awareness of the therapeutic area and help HCPs identify treatment gaps in diagnosed patients.
• Meet call activity and financial goals for the territory.
