Job summary

Sun Ophthalmics is seeking a field-based sales professional to lead education-driven discussions with ophthalmology professionals. You will develop key relationships, deliver compliant scientific messaging, and drive strategic territory plans to meet activity and revenue goals.

The role requires understanding of eye care, hospital and clinic networks, and the ability to travel domestically to cover markets with a strong focus on patient care. Competitive compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
• Two+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent.
• Experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare institutions and managed care is a plus.
• Eye Care/Ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop and maintain relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information to HCPs.
• Business planning and execution.
• Increase awareness of the therapeutic area and identify treatment gaps.
• Equip HCPs with tools to discuss therapies with patients.
• Meet call activity, adherence, and financial targets for the territory.
