Xcel Energy is seeking an Operations Scheduler to strategically prioritize and create a 0–12+ week work schedule for a designated region or function in Minnesota. The role focuses on optimizing resource use, ensuring on-time execution, and maintaining compliance with safety and performance metrics.

The position operates in a hybrid setup, with some onsite requirements and collaborative planning across field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or other operations area.
• Scheduling/plan experience for utility or similar field preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
• Experience using Microsoft products and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Plan a multi-week region-wide work schedule based on demand and priorities, resolving conflicts and advising management.
• Manage personnel, equipment, and material resource availability across a multi-week horizon.
• Forecast resource utilization for upcoming quarters and propose reallocations and improvements.
• Lead monthly regional metric reviews and ensure compliance constraints are met.
• Coordinate with local supervisors and stakeholder groups to optimize productivity and adherence to schedules.
• Drive customer satisfaction through adherence to scheduling processes.
