Job summary

Oregon Department of Human Services seeks an Operations Manager (Human Services Supervisor 2) to lead Self Sufficiency programs and guide program rules, budgets, and strategic planning in Florence, Oregon.

You will evaluate service delivery, set performance targets, oversee staff development, and ensure policy implementation aligns with statewide objectives. This role emphasizes equity, diversity, and collaborative leadership in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience.
• OR One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the management of Self Sufficiency programs, development of program rules and policies, development of long and short-range goals and plans, and program evaluation and budget preparation.
• Evaluate and review performance in program delivery and desired outcomes of services, including daily administration of department programs and development of new services as identified.
• Monitor and analyze local office effectiveness in policy implementation and application.
• Provide direction to local office staff to achieve and maintain performance measures established by the department or district, such as program accuracy rates, various JOBS participation rates and office job placement targets.
• Establish and maintain a sense of purpose by setting clear expectations for staff and holding staff accountable for accomplishing those expectations and desired outcomes.
• Utilize feedback, monitoring of performance, team building, training and development to support staff.
