Job summary

Oregon Department of Human Services seeks a Branch Operations Manager (Human Services Supervisor 2) to lead the branch, manage cross-functional teams, and collaborate with community partners to deliver services across Self-Sufficiency and related programs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing relationships effectively, including communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and leadership.
• Strong critical thinking to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Visionary experience in driving change management within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience promoting a culture of equitable treatment, belonging, and commitment to ODHS’ mission to actively foster an anti-racist workplace.
• Experience using trauma-informed de-escalation tactics in response to time sensitive or tense situations to guide peaceful resolutions to disputes or perceived disputes.
• Experience taking in large amounts of information, managing multiple initiatives, and meeting deadlines consistently to achieve desired outcomes.
• Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administrative functions to carry out objectives and goals of the department, and to implement the department's vision using local community resources and department staff and programs.
• Collaborate with management partners, both public and private, to design, implement, evaluate and modify programs and services legislated by federal, state and local governments.
• Manage and direct branch cross-functional teams, local programs and community collaboration efforts by assigning work procedures consistent with the department's policies, recommending revisions to policies and procedures, establishing work schedules, and monitoring performance to meet goals.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring schedules and performance targets for the branch office.
• Support ODHS goals of integrity, stewardship, respect, service equity, innovation and professionalism and provide culturally appropriate services.
