Qualifications

• MBA and/or 10+ years of management and operational experience in scrap industry preferred.
• Advanced skills using the latest Microsoft Office products.
• Leadership and influencing skills with a wide range of individuals.
• Familiarity with operations improvement tools and methodologies desirable.
• Solid skills in finance, statistics, problem solving and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work with different levels.
• Intellectual curiosity regarding the scrap metal industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify growth opportunities by analyzing and monitoring competitive solutions to increase market share.
• Drive revenue growth, operating margin, asset efficiency and improve management effectiveness via budgets and plans.
• Build knowledge of Operations management by identifying operational trends and drivers.
• Assess ongoing progress and drive broad changes to achieve targeted outcomes.
• Drive the direction and implementation of operational initiatives defined by the SVP of Operations.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that span operations and shared services.
• Support business development through due diligence and acquisitions integration.
• Connect data points into evidence-based arguments that support strategy and change.
• Develop reporting for operations management to measure key metrics (output, efficiencies, costs, downtime).
• Facilitate target setting and identify projects to achieve those targets.
• Leverage successes across multiple regions and facilities.
• Provide strategic direction for evolution of Operational Strategy & Analysis.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
