Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead technical evaluations, perform POC/POV work, and guide customers through observability initiatives. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to design solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic advising, requiring strong communication from executives to developers and a passion for helping customers achieve their desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry and OSS like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace, or Grafana Labs.
• Understanding of SLI/SLO and DevOps/SRE practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations through ownership of POC/POV and SA workshops.
• Regularly visit customer offices to align with objectives and build relationships.
• Drive observability maturity and transformation initiatives for customers and prospects.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and marketing to ensure successful engagements.
• Document current and desired states of observability and design gap-filling solutions.
• Map customer outcomes to required observability capabilities.
