Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to advise customers on observability and strategic modernization.

You will lead POC/POV efforts, collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing, and drive adoption of the New Relic platform through technical guidance and thought leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong software/consulting background, deep knowledge of observability tools and cloud-native tech, and excellent communication with technical and executive stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry standards and OSS like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with observability platforms (New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace, Grafana Labs, etc.).
• Understanding of SLI/SLO and DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native tech – Kubernetes, Docker, serverless.
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements to technical solutions and guide customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations through ownership of POC/POV and SA workshops.
• Visit customer offices to align with objectives and build relationships for large deals.
• Create artifacts like reference architectures and blogs to build brand and credibility in observability.
• Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and marketing across sales cycles to drive adoption and platform usage.
• Document customer current and target observability states and map to required capabilities.
• Develop solutions that translate business outcomes into measurable observability improvements.
