Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager for the Starlink program based in Memphis, TN. You will lead material planning, maintain BOM accuracy in MRP, and coordinate with engineering, production, and quality to ensure on-time, high-quality supply for the Starlink satellite constellation.

You will analyze supply chain data, drive risk mitigation with strategic safety stock, and influence cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, and speed of execution in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, materials or production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience or 7+ years of experience in the same fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and audit bill of materials in MRP systems in preparation for production at rate.
• Establish/manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data, and develop expertise in in-house systems and reports.
• Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing a well-thought-out supply plan that fulfills the needs of the product on time and with quality.
• Be an expert in MRP, triage the signals/understand the matrix, then apply your knowledge to educate the teams we support in the proper use of MRP and its benefit to the business.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality organizations to determine change cut in and reduce obsolescence of material and eliminate/reduce quality issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigations like long-term purchases and strategic safety stock.
• Proactively manage inventory, and prevent stock outs while optimizing the utilization of SpaceX working capital.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enable the mission.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and government regulations.
• Proactively update SpaceX management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues.
• Analyze supply chain data and report metrics around the health of MRP and the businesses execution against it
