Job summary

SpaceX, based in Bastrop, TX, seeks a Supply Chain Planning Manager for Starlink/xAI to drive material planning, MRP governance, and inventory strategies enabling satellite production. You will partner with engineers and suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires up to 30% travel, onsite work in Bastrop/Austin, and a strong focus on risk mitigation, ERP systems, and cross‑functional collaboration to support SpaceX's mission.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years experience in purchasing, material/production planning, operations or supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with supply chain focus; or substantial related experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and audit bill of materials in MRP systems for production.
• Establish/Manage inventory targets, review line balances, align demand signals and allocations.
• Mitigate risk and ensure on‑time, quality supply.
• Be an MRP expert, educate teams on its use and benefits.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality to manage change cuts and reduce obsolescence.
• Partner on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigation.
• Proactively manage inventory and prevent stock outs while optimizing working capital.
• Develop relationships with manufacturing and supply chain teams to enable the mission.
• Ensure compliance with policies and government regulations.
• Update management on critical supply issues and analyze SCM data.
