Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to optimize MRP-driven production support for Starlink. You will maintain BOM accuracy, manage inventory targets, and develop robust supply plans to meet program deadlines with quality goals.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams, drive risk mitigation strategies, and leverage ERP, SQL, and BI tools to analyze data, improve stock availability and working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1+ years of purchasing experience.
• 1+ years in material or production planning or supply chain management.
• Experience in material cost control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BOM accuracy in MRP systems for production readiness.
• Establish/Manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data.
• Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing a well-thought-out supply plan that fulfills the needs of the product on time and with quality.
• Be an expert in MRP, triage the signals/understand the matrix, then apply your knowledge to educate the teams we support in the proper use of MRP and its benefit to the business.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality organizations to determine change cut in and reduce obsolescence of material and eliminate/reduce quality issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigations like long-term purchases and strategic safety stock.
• Proactively manage inventory, and prevent stock outs while optimizing the utilization of SpaceX working capital
• Develop and maintain good relationships with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enable the mission
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and government regulations
• Proactively update SpaceX management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues
• Analyze supply chain data and report metrics around the health of MRP and the businesses execution against it
