Job summary

MTA Bridges and Tunnels, part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, seeks a Manager, Maintenance Contracts and Administration to oversee contract administration across nine facilities, focusing on fire, life safety, and essential maintenance services.

The role coordinates with Procurement, the MTA Business Service Center, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Maintenance to solicit, administer, renew, and closeout contracts, while monitoring status, funding, and expirations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 6 years' experience administering maintenance, service, or commodity contracts.
• Minimum 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of public-sector contracting rules and procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Unrestricted driver's license in New York State.
• Knowledge of MTA procurement processes for services and goods, including solicitation, contract award, renewal, modification, and closeout activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager in administering B&T service and commodity contracts.
• Review PM payment requests for accuracy and compliance with Authority requirements.
• Provide guidance to PMs and Budget Analysts on contract requirements and performance.
• Monitor contract activities and identify issues requiring follow-up or corrective action.
• Coordinate contract closeout activities and provide 24-hour emergency support.
