Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development seeks a Senior Contracts Specialist for Contracting Services in New York City (2 Broadway). The role supports award of multi‑billion contracts and manages complex procurement and contract modifications.

Telework is available one day per week, with potential evening/weekend work as needed. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least four years of contracts/procurement experience, along with strong MS Office skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Finance, Government Contracting or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in contracts and procurement or a related field.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal procurement laws.
• Experience drafting SAI memos and preparing vendor hearings.

Responsibilities

• Supports management within the Contracts Department.
• Generates reports for agency executives and staff on contracting matters.
• Supports the Contracting Services division with research and document preparation.
• Creates contract files documenting procurement and decision processes.
