Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Development and Affiliations teams. You will support the growth of Heartland through M&A activities, assist on solo affiliations and large group acquisitions, and help prepare strategy and investment materials for senior leaders and the board.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, 1 year of investment banking or 2 years related experience, strong financial modeling and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 1 year in investment banking or 2 years in a related area.
• Experience building and reviewing financial models.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel overnight at least quarterly and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Corporate Development and Affiliation teams with projects related to potential affiliations, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives to drive growth.
• Perform financial modeling and analysis of acquisition targets, including valuation and financial statement analysis.
• Help manage due diligence and acquisition processes for solo affiliations and larger group transactions.
• Lead the financial review process and coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Research and evaluate industries, market segments, business models, and competitive information for non-transaction initiatives.
• Support presentations to senior leadership and board on acquisition opportunities.
• Assist business owners and leaders with ad hoc analyses and strategic projects.
• Coordinate with business development during deal processes and post-close integration.
• Facilitate efficient deal closing and collaboration with operations teams.
