Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support total rewards through data-driven analysis, administration, and program improvement. You will collaborate with HR, Operations, and Finance to benchmark against market data, design pay structures, and drive retention.

The role requires 2-4 years in compensation, a bachelor’s degree, and familiarity with Workday or similar systems. CCP is preferred and the position emphasizes cross-functional influence across 39 states and 1,900+

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of direct compensation analysis and administration experience.
• Experience with HCM and compensation systems such as Workday, ERI, and MarketPay/PayFactors.
• Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with data insights.
• Ability to present compensation concepts clearly to managers and leaders.
• Understanding of compensation methodologies and job architecture.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of compensation frameworks, pay ranges, and reporting.
• Advise on pay philosophy, program design, and total rewards strategy.
• Develop insights for leaders linking pay decisions, incentives, performance, and retention.
• Conduct ad-hoc compensation analyses and advise on band placement.
• Translate complex data into concise summaries and visuals for stakeholders.
• Partner on job evaluation and job leveling across the organization.
