Job summary

Transportation Insight, LLC is seeking a Solutions Engineer to assess, develop and support logistics solutions for current and prospective clients, using data analysis to design an ideal future state. The role combines hands-on leadership with consultative selling and cross-functional collaboration.

You will engage with senior team members and clients to design profitable solutions that meet stated needs, price complex multi-mode services, and support deal cycles from demonstration to closing;

Qualifications

• BS degree in business or related field; MBA preferred if not in business.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain management.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• LEAN / Six Sigma certification or experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong collaboration with internal operations teams.
• Strong technical skills in planning, presentation, and business apps.
• Willingness to work full-time with occasional weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assess a validated prospects’ current supply chain program by documenting current state.
• Understand the client's systems/applications used in current state, objectives and requirements to propose the best solution.
• Document the future solution to help with the production of presentations and other documentation as needed
• Help create pricing strategies for Transportation Insight service offerings that are both competitive and attractive to prospective clients.
• Assist sales personnel, as needed, in demonstrating technology platforms that lead to closure of new business.
• Effectively communicate with prospects and clients at the necessary pace, utilizing phone, web and on site as appropriate.
• Assess from continuous improvement standpoint the standard approach for the transitioning of clients from the sales organization to implementation/account management teams.
• Support ongoing improvement efforts by documenting best practices.
