Job summary

DSV is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Planning in the United States. You will supervise inbound/outbound and international product slotting, manage labor, space, and equipment, and ensure actions align with cost objectives.

You’ll hire, train, plan workloads, and drive performance with a focus on safety and quality. Lead cross-functional teams to optimize scheduling, capacity, and carrier coordination, while maintaining supplier relationships and achieving client KPIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7+ years of experience in transportation operations, fleet management, or logistical freight networks.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and regional transportation safety and compliance standards.
• Experience managing carriers, negotiating rates, and SLA tracking.
• Proficiency in Excel, BI tools and TMS reporting for KPIs.
• Lean/process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff meetings to review daily/weekly activities and plan improvements.
• Inform senior management and client representatives of critical issues.
• Develop systems for safe, profitable operation and adherence to SOPs.
• Meet client KPIs and drive cost-saving measures.
• Manage training and professional development of warehouse staff.
• Plan daily work schedules and assign duties to staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across operations.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
