Job summary

Novo Nordisk USA is seeking a senior logistics professional to oversee supplier performance, cost control, and capacity planning across multiple external warehouses in Clayton, NC. The role drives strategic logistics initiatives, ensures process harmonization, and maintains operational flow through escalation management and scenario planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 4+ years of logistics experience in external warehouses (3PLs) in a regulated environment
• Associate degree with 6+ years of logistics experience in external warehouses (3PLs) in a regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Own supplier relationships and accountability for external warehouse operations
• Develop annual budgets, monitor monthly costs and report deviations to senior management
• Lead supplier performance reviews and drive utilization improvements when constraints arise
• Manage execution of complex change projects, including capacity extensions and compliance initiatives (GxP, legal requirements)
• Lead tactical supplier management initiatives and ensure timely delivery of enhancements
• Drive adoption of new ways of working, focusing on cost optimization and process harmonization across warehouses
• Oversee outsourcing initiatives to Global Business Services (GBS) and clarify roles and responsibilities
• Lead data-driven improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture insights and translate them into cost and budget implications
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and align warehouse operations with changing business needs
• Review and update Internal Agreements
• Monitor operations and escalate capacity challenges to management
• Prepare scenario analysis with pros, cons and cost implications
• Tackle complex issues independently and make pivotal decisions with many stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong prioritization and high-quality standards
• Follow safety & environmental requirements in duties
