Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a Supply Chain Leader to oversee supplier performance, cost control and capacity planning across external warehouses. You will drive global logistics initiatives, harmonize processes, and lead change projects with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a lean, data-driven mindset to optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of logistics experience with external warehouses (3PLs) in a regulated environment.
• Alternatively, an Associate degree with 6+ years of logistics experience with 3PLs in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier relationships and accountability for external warehouse operations.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor monthly costs and report deviations to senior management.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and drive utilization improvements when constraints arise.
• Manage execution of complex change projects, including capacity extensions and compliance initiatives (GxP, legal requirements).
• Lead tactical supplier management initiatives and ensure timely delivery of enhancements.
• Drive adoption of new ways of working, focusing on cost optimization and process harmonization across warehouses.
• Oversee outsourcing initiatives to Global Business Services (GBS) and clarify roles and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture business insights and translate them into cost and budget implications.
