Job summary

Novo Nordisk in North Carolina is seeking a logistics SME for Global Logistics & Distribution US, focusing on external warehousing and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.

You will drive process improvements, ensure compliant warehouse execution, and collaborate across teams to align procedures, document actions, and resolve complex issues while supporting audit readiness and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Logistics or related field is required and 2 years of logistics/3PL/manufacturing experience in a regulated environment; pharma preferred.
• Associate Degree with 4 years of relevant logistics/3PL/manufacturing experience in a regulated environment is eligible
• Demonstrated experience working with external warehouses, 3PL/4PL partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience driving process improvement, practical problem solving and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to analyse data and operational situations to recommend solutions.
• Knowledge of US/EU regulations including GMPs is preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience and capability to implement improvements is preferred.
• Strong communication skills across organizational levels are required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a logistics process advocate, coordinating priorities with internal and external stakeholders to optimize external warehouse execution.
• Set direction for process alignment with external warehouses, Freight Manager, Logistics Coordinators, Quality and Planners.
• Drive stakeholder meetings and solicit feedback to improve execution.
• Coordinate and monitor shipment and warehouse activities with 4PL partner, warehouses and freight forwarders; escalate issues as needed.
• Drive data-based improvements and redefine processes to achieve sustainable gains.
• Handle complex logistics, deviations, and quality issues; evaluate alternatives and drive resolution.
• Support audit readiness and ensure standard processes and corrective actions are implemented.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across distribution and warehouse workflows.
