Job summary

Schneider National is seeking a Business Development Director to craft strategic plans that grow revenue, profitability, and relationships with new customers in our Logistics/Supply Chain services. The role emphasizes leading through prospecting, solution coordination, and closing deals.

The position requires strong sales leadership, industry experience, and a willingness to travel, with uncapped commission and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of six years of sales experience preferred.
• Transportation industry experience preferred.
• Strong prospecting skills required.
• Financial management skills required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and DMV standards compliance.
• Able to travel 25–50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and planning.
• Coordinate development of client solutions with solution design team, relationship managers and service offering owners.
• Prepare and lead contract negotiations for new business.
• Follow-up on lead generation through sales calls.
• Validate deals and manage ongoing interactions with customers.
• Ensure timely account management and effective use of CRM.
