Job summary

PGT Trucking, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to aggressively prospect for new business, manage the full sales cycle, and build strong client relationships across the Hopewell, Reading, Trenton, and Baltimore markets.

You will meet with customers, assess transportation needs, and negotiate competitive rates to exceed sales goals. The role requires travel to client sites weekly, with presentations to owners and senior executives, and active networking to generate referrals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have transportation experience to be considered.
• Must be a hunter who strives to close new business.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively prospect for new business accounts and manage the full cycle sales process.
• Meet with new customers and evaluate current transportation needs; identify sales solutions and negotiate competitive rates with clients.
• Exceed sales goals within assigned territory and maintain customer satisfaction with current book of business.
• Travel to new and existing customer base weekly to maintain account management.
• Conduct sales presentations to customer owners and senior executive teams.
• Network on social media to obtain customer referrals and promote PGT Trucking.
