Job summary

PGT Trucking, Inc., based in Baltimore, MD, is hiring a Business Development Manager to grow our flatbed transportation business. You will aggressively prospect for new accounts, manage the complete sales cycle, and negotiate competitive rates with clients.

Ideal candidates have transportation industry experience, a hunter mindset, and the ability to work independently. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, HS Diploma or GED is required, and willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have transportation experience to be considered.
• Hunter who strives to close new business.
• Able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively prospect for new business accounts and manage the full cycle sales process.
• Meet with new customers and evaluate current transportation needs; identify solutions and negotiate rates.
• Exceed sales goals within territory and maintain customer satisfaction with current book of business.
• Travel weekly to new and existing customer base to maintain account management.
• Conduct sales presentations to customer owners and senior executive teams.
• Network on social media to obtain referrals and promote PGT Trucking.
