Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced account management professional to oversee customer accounts, manage transportation spend, and collaborate with Estes teams to enhance supply chain practices and customer satisfaction.

This role partners with senior logistics personnel to drive cost reductions and continuous improvements while growing premium services and maintaining strong customer relationships across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Self-directed with ability to work with minimal oversight.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Proven track record delivering measurable results and executing strategic and tactical plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, internal and external to Estes.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for customers and liaise between Estes corporate office and customer supply chain to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales, Operations and others to meet revenue goals.
• Assist with development of technological improvements to allow clients to secure information faster and with less cost.
• Coordinate with customer corporate logistics and transportation teams to enhance supply chain engagement with Estes.
• May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean markets.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with customers to plan growth and continuous improvements.
• Interact with senior customer management at corporate and field levels.
• Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers.
• Provide Supply Chain expertise to Customer Management Team.
• Travel 10% to develop and maintain business relationships with customers on-site.
