East Coast Warehouse & Distribution Corp. in New Jersey seeks an Account Manager for the Safeway trucking account to oversee client relationships and service delivery.

You will coordinate daily trucking operations, monitor performance, and work with dispatch, drivers, and warehouse staff to ensure safety, DOT compliance, and on-time service while identifying opportunities to grow revenue within the account.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics preferred.
• 3–5 years in account management, logistics, or transportation.
• Knowledge of trucking operations, freight regulations, and supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with TMS, MS Office, and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary contact for Safeway's transportation and logistics needs.
• Build and maintain a trust-based relationship with Safeway stakeholders.
• Conduct regular client meetings, business reviews, and performance updates.
• Coordinate daily trucking operations to meet service requirements.
• Monitor freight movements, delivery schedules, and on-time performance.
• Collaborate with dispatch, drivers, and warehouse staff to resolve issues.
• Ensure DOT, safety, and company standards compliance.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue.
• Analyze performance data to provide insights and cost-saving recommendations.
• Prepare and review financial reports; monitor profitability and billing.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements as needed.
• Act as escalation point for service failures and client concerns.
• Implement corrective actions and communicate solutions.
