Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking a Case Staffing Manager to oversee the allocation and staffing of legal matters.

This role will initially support the broader staffing efforts for the firm as a floater and potentially align to specific offices as practices expand. You will assign attorneys based on skills, experience, and availability, monitor caseloads and billable hours, and coordinate transitions when hires depart or join the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a litigation law firm; employment law preferred.
• Proven work in fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of matter staffing, understanding each case's unique needs and attorney strengths.
• Use firm resources and technology.
• Ensure attorneys' caseloads stay on track to meet billable requirements.
• Handle transitions of matters during attorney departures, leaves of absence, and new hires.
• Maintain a client-focused approach to strengthen relationships within local offices.
